The Hype and The Lack Of Content – Traffic Formula 2 Launch Booper
Cutting through the TF 2.0 launch hype…
I just got an email from Mike Dillard, who’s back from Alaska with his batteries in TURBO mode, setting the first day of training for TF 2.0.
Finally!
Of course, we’re all very excited about the course, and given the number and caliber of the teachers, it’s sure to be a massive hit…
Even though Mike ran the entire launch remotely, during his quiet time at a family cruise, the Magnetic Sponsoring crew took care of business beautifuly.
Props to Tim Erway for keeping us updated on the affiliate contest, and for putting his own 2008 BMW as a prize. (Jay Kubassek, CC PRO creator, took it home).
So Far, Traffic Formula Gave Us Hype… What’s The Deal?
A whole lot of TF 2.0 has been kept in the dark, and minimal information has been leaked to the public.
I hate to be the critical guy here, but Mike did an excellent job at instigating buzz, stirring up the community, firing up super-affiliates, but basic steps were overlooked.
Seriously, the time spent on getting the free 36 min video, the affiliate contest, the interview with Eben Pagan, plus all of the regular launch stuff – setting up domains, affiliate links, banners, etc… Could have been applied to a better disclosure of content, or even a “sample chapter”…
Heck, even the 36-min DVD was a pool of important, but HIGHLY generic information.
Mike should’ve followed Eben’s example and released major pieces of information (moving the free line) to really get customers hooked up on the multitude of content on TF. Instead, he went for the hype of a glorified launch without much substance.
The one-day BONUS offer
None of my arguments on this post went unnoticed by Mike Dillard. As a business man, he’s 5x ahead of me, and I can assure you he’s damn aware of the issues of the TF 2.0 launch.
And he’s already come out with a solution:
I’m not completely comfortable with the fact that we released TF 2.0 in such a quick period of time, and while I was away on a cruise ship with family.I don’t feel like I was able to explain what the course was about, and demonstrate it’s value, in a way that did it justice.Tim and I are going to hold a “Demonstration Webinar” on Wednesday night for anyone who hasn’t registered for the course yet. It’s going to be a content-packed demonstration, to let you experience what you’re going to learn in TF 2.0, first-hand, and I can tell you right now, that you’ll be sorry if you miss this.
One more change to get MLM Traffic Formula 2.0 $700 OFF!
For all of the reasons I pointed out above, Mike and the crew will re-open the TF discount:
Instead of $997, on Wednesday (June 17th), TF will be available for $297 (or 2x $167)
Before I tell you to buy it tomorrow, WAIT FOR THE WEBINAR!
I’ll keep you posted on the details, but pay attention to what Mike and Tim will present on the webinar before making the move.
After that…

Frankly, I didn’t pay much attention to the launch. I agree that there wasn’t any added value, which makes me think that it’s just “another” course that contains the same stuff everyone else is selling.
Hopefully, the webinar will shed some light on what this thing really is… and more importantly, what he has to share that justifies the price.
Hello Leo,
Interesting post and you definitely hit upon several items regarding the MTF 2.0 launch. I heard several comments concerning the lack of content associated with the product at this point in time.
As I recall, Mike Dillard did make it clear that much of the material would be developed “on the fly” via webinars (others have used the same approach) and I don’t doubt they will deliver. There is still an uneasiness associated with it even considering the discounted price and 60 money back refund policy.
The other interesting twist is the fact that tonight’s webinar occurs a few hours before the reduced price deal closes again. Seems a little “salesy” to me (IMHO).
Just some food for thought ….
Best always,
Jim H.
Very good post Leo, educational, entertaining and enlightening… you write with clarity and an obvious passion. It is an area that so many, would be blog authors over-look.
I found a particular resonance with your comment… “I hate to be the critical guy here, but Mike did an excellent job at instigating buzz, stirring up the community, firing up super-affiliates, but basic steps were overlooked.”
Leo, thanks for the heads up on this. as always your blog is the place to come for this type of info. thanks ian
Loe, there is no doubt that Mike Dillard’s approached has worked for many people. Personally I am always concerned when a “launch” is more about the hype than the substance. Great deals, videos, and 60 day money back promises are great; but I am much more interested in the substance. Is it new or just repackaging old material with a lot of hype and hoopla? Thanks for the post!
Hi 5 folks – Ive seen this guy Mike Dillard in and around the web for quit some time so I can safely say he must be doing something right and that works and works well – so I for one will be very interested in finding out more information to what this can do for my internet business – thanks for the advice on the webinar I will take the time needed to look in to this i think your on a winner here…
All my best to you and yours

I’ve become disenchanted with the amount of time spent working Magnetic Sponsoring programs and participating at BetterNetworkers and the lack of excellent results…
Hope you’ve done better.
I was not aware of the first launch but just goes to show that you should put your best foot out there even if you have to delay a launch. Hopefully, the webinar will explain more and help get the product off the ground.
Thanks Leo for your perspective on the Traffic Formula 2.0 launch. Hopefully the content that will
be delivered will help us grow as better marketers and networkers with Web 2.0 strategies.
I’m looking forward to the information ahead.
Even though the launch of TF 2 was really hyped up, I really like Mike Dillard’s teaching and philosophy for the MLM industry.
This appears to be such a serious discussion, but my intuition is telling me that it’s really primarily aimed at getting folks to buy this program through your affiliate link. Nothing wrong with that, but I for one would appreciate a somewhat more direct approach.
Even though my inbox is stuffed with letters from the top online marketers, I seem to have missed this one.
I think I’ve lost a lot of trust in anyone selling first, and look to reputable blogs and forums rather then emails and splash pages when inquiring about new products.
Not surprising. Many of these web marketing people dangle carrots of wealth to people desperate for some new information. My thought is that you learn what you can but the secret will be your own mastery. There is no magic bullet. Hard work, make mistakes, learn and grow.
Leo I don’t quite see eye to eye with you on this one. In Mike’s defense I don’t believe launch of TF 2.0 was all hype and no value. He keep it generic at best. There more to come he’s just laying down a foundation and a overview of what you can expect from the new release of TF 2.0. Did you get a chance look at the outline of TF 2.0? in my opinion there was a lot of informative and valuable information. I positive that we’ll all get our money’s worth and then some with TF 2.0.
